Opel has recently announced its plans to unveil a 200 HP version of its 1.6-liter SIDI Turbo for the Cascada.
As on date, the most powerful version of the Cascada that is available in the market offers 170 HP (125 kW) which comes from the 1.6-liter SIDI Turbo ECOTEC gasoline engine, but a more potent 200 HP (147 kW) will be available starting this fall after it premieres in September at IAA.
With the help of this revised output, the engine will be able to produce a maximum torque of 300 Nm (221 lb-ft). The model will be able to achieve a top speed of 146 mph (235 km/h). In terms of fuel efficiency, this attractive mid-size cabrio will able to return 6.7 liters / 100 km (42.1 mpg UK or 35.1 mpg US), with CO2 emissions of 158 g/km.
This news has come after a recent announcement of a three-cylinder 1.0-liter SIDI Turbo with output of 115 HP (85 kW) and 166 Nm (122 lb-ft) of torque which will be available at first in the Adam. But whatever it may be, it is good news for the car lovers and increased output will surely spice up some excitement as well.
