The period from 1963 to 1967 had undoubtedly belonged to the Chevrolet C2 sports car. It was lovingly called the Sting Ray and its C2 427 model was fitted with an engine that delivered 560 hp. Those days the Ferrari models never even came close to 500 HP and thus this performance figure was indeed a phenomenal one. Atlantic Racing the company which has given us the Le Mans classic cars is now going to give us this Chevrolet model again.
The engine of the C2 427 which is a L88 make 7 liter V8 engine has been used by the company to upgrade its power output to 650 hp. The weight of the car has been reduced to 1240 kg and for transmission the tuner has added the Rochester T10 system with strengthened clutch.
This model has been specifically made for the race track and the 2007 European Championship GT1 has already been won by this car.
