The Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo made its official debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The sedan had however, received some teasers and criticisms about two weeks ago. The car would appear in the showrooms for display, test drive, and sale this coming fall. The new Alpina Bi-Turbo is expected to be priced at £70000 i.e. at around $10500 at the current exchange rates.
A tuned version of BMW’s 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine powers the Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo. The engine bears 500 HP and 516 lb ft of torque levels. A modified version of ZF’s eight-speed automatic gearbox will also be coupled with the engine. The new B5 Bi-Turbo is expected to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in about 4.7 seconds with the twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The car would be capable of hitting a top speed of 191 mph with the power delivered by the V8 engine.
The tuning house has opted for a conservative approach to include only the new body kit on the 5-Series front lip spoiler and rocket panels. It also contains a new set of multi-spoke wheels
