The Nissan GT-R which went on sale in the year 2007 is being given a facelift with an Austria based tuning company Koenigseder providing the upgrade package. Nissan had equipped the car with an engine which was capable of delivering 480HP.
Since then, the car has been provided with a boost in power ratings so that the engine now delivers 485 HP though Nissan continues to have strong reservations about its engine not to be tinkered with. But the folks at Koenigseder has given it a bright new looks in its recent modification with the exterior done up in a bright shade of orange, which also happens to be the tuners’ favorite color. The GT-R has also been provided with a new aerodynamic kit though the design approach can be termed moderate at best. And the front bumpers were bumped down a bit as well with new air intakes finding place in the new scheme of things.
The car is also given a set of new side skirts which purely matches with the front bumpers which also supports new air intakes. The rear bumper too has been fitted with a new diffuser. This beauty runs on 21 inch rims that have two color finishes, that is black and pulpy orange colors.
Coming to the technical aspects, the Koenigseder Nissan GT-R has been equipped with new air filter, an Akrapovic titanium exhaust system and an ECU. The results from these modifications are impressive to say the least as the top speed as well as the power rating of the engine has inched northwards. The GT-R is now able to make a thumping 580 HP of peak power enabling the vehicle to reach speeds of 200 km/h or 124 mph in 9.8s. To balance this increase in the power, the car has been fitted with a KW suspension along with a set of 21 inch wheels (which use the two color finishes). The wheels are shod with Yokohama Advan sports tires for superior performance.
