GTR-10 which was but an upgrade of the Audi R8 V10 variant had been unveiled by PPI Razor only last year. The output of the Audi R8 had been improved to 600 hp which is an impressive number to say the least. The German tuners however have not stopped at that and have now picked on a V8 rather than a V10 engine to tweak it for delivering 800 hp.
The methodology that PPI adopted for this performance upgrade is by bettering the compression ratio as well as implementing a stronger resistance for the first and second gear. They have also added two R48 Bi-Centrifugal Superchargers with magnetic coupling to the V8 and adjusted the ECU to get the 420 hp base power delivery factor of the V8 to a whooping 820 HP. Peak torque also has been raised to 634 lb ft in the process. An alteration to the air intake has been effected by including a special sport filter in a Carbon Fiber air box. This produces optimal air flow.
Doubling the power output of the V8 has also had improved performance effects on other factors of the car. For instance, buoyed by enhanced power output, the R8 is now able to do the 0 to 60 mph sprint in just 2.9 seconds while the top speed of the car now reads an impressive 217 mph. A PPI Dual Inlet Sport Exhaust system alters the sound of the engine exhaust and has been custom designed for the supercharging system in the R8.
There are aerodynamic packages also included in the upgrade package which was naturally required to match the power and performance upgrade of the car. Specific price of the package is not yet known but that it would not be cheap can well be guessed given the scale of the upgrades that package effects.

I think Audi will win a lot with this.
