Off late the photographs of the Jeep Patriot have started floating on the web. Recently, Jeep had released official photographs of its new improved version of the Jeep Patriot that sport a new front and rear fascia that has been given the once over and has been freshened up a bit. However, despite these facelifts you would not be able to spot differences without having a very close inspection of the vehicle.
The exterior of the Patriot features a new body colored grille along with standard fog lamps and a lower rear bumper. The other improvements in the 4 x 4 model include the 17-inch wheels along with the option to choose from four new colors. The other exterior changes include a 1-inch rise in the ride height.
The new Jeep Patriot features an up rated suspension system that has been modified to provide a more comfortable ride. The other improvements include an increased damping or rebound rates along with the brand-new rear sway bar. Then the steering too has been worked upon to make it even more sharp and precise.
Moving over to the interiors. the new Jeep Patriot replaces the old elements with soft touch materials. For instance, the steering is now thicker rimmed along with inbuilt audio and trip controls. These changes are similar in nature with the recently teased Chrysler 200 sedan which replaced the Sebring. The new vehicle will have the Uconnect voice command system available across the board. In addition, Jeep seems to have planned to equip the top range Latitude X models with standard automatic climate control system.
In an interview, Mike Manley, the CEO and the president of Jeep said, “For 2011, Jeep Patriot is even more appealing to consumers”. He further maintained that the Jeep patriot would be able to have higher appeal to the consumers because of the “rugged new exterior styling, interior enhancements, and refinements to the suspension and steering systems.”
Chrysler’s Belvidere Assembly Plant in Belvidere, Illinois will be utilized in order to build the 2011 Jeep Patriot. The new vehicle would be available at showrooms for the end customers only in the fourth quarter of this year. In other words, the new Jeep patriot is likely to start populating dealer’s lot from the next month onwards. Albeit the tweaking is coming in small chunks, the new patriot appears to be coming out as an interesting and compact offering from Jeep.
