The details of the 2011 model year line-up have been brought out by Lexus, which also includes the new sports sedan IS-F. The sports sedan 2011 IS-F is up-rated with a more desirable upgraded suspension, a modernized or electronic power steering, and also a Torsen rear differential.
The Lexus IS F receives its improved power performance from a new dramatically tuned 5.0-liter V8 engine. The engine is capable of churning out a total of 416 HP at a speed of 6,600 rpm. The performance tuned engine delivers a peak torque of 371 lb.-ft. at 5,200 rpm. An eight-speed Sport Direct Shift transmission is attached to this engine to add to the engine performance.
The IS-F features a trapezoid-shaped front bumper fascia, a V-shaped grille, hood raised on the center section, and a special wire-mesh pattern on both upper and lower grilles. These features clearly differentiate the 2011 Lexus from other sports sedan. This is not the end as there are other features as well that makes the sports sedan to standout from others such as large brake cooling ducts, and 19″ wheels. The Lexus 2011 also has a discrete silver, black, and blue “F” marque on the front fenders.
The interior cosmetic upgrades of the IS F are comprised of features in the form of an exclusive design treatment. These cosmetic upgrades are highlighted by a striking two-tone upholstery, aluminized composite trim, unique steering-wheel treatment, aluminum-rimmed main gauges, and other special surface treatments.
