The brand new 2011 Mercedes-Benz F125 hydrogen-fueled gullwing coupe concept, a car will be on show this week at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, is a truly pioneer for future designs from Mercedes.
Are you courious to find out what it means the “125” in its title? Well, it signifies the 125th anniversary of when Carl Benz first registered his “vehicle with gas-engine drive” under patent number 37435 with the Berlin Patent Office, forever changing the way humans would travel.
While the official debut is planned for tomorrow, many of its details have been leaked today. This concept car comes with four electric motors, each of which is powered by electric energy generated by a hydrogen fuel cell stack developing 231 horsepower. With this power, the 2011 Mercedes-Benz F125 hydrogen-fueled gullwing coupe concept can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.9 seconds, with a top speed of 136 mph.
Range on a full tank of hydrogen is expected to be 620 miles, and thanks to a chargeable lithium-ion battery, this car can go around 31 miles on electric power without activating the fuel cell.
