The 2012 A7 Sportback model from Audi is supposed to arrive at showrooms in US by the later part of this month. In the meantime, Audi has come up with the pricing structure of the car. So, the starting MSRP for the Audi A7 will be $59,250. However, that’s not all for there is also the additional destination charge of $875 also applicable. The car would be available in the initial stages with only the option of the 3.0 liter TFSI V6 gasoline engine and the transmission system being an 8 speed Tiptronic automatic one. The car would be an all wheel drive unit.
The engine is capable of producing 310 HP and 325 lb ft of peak torque. All of these culminates into a top speed of 130 mph or 209 kmph as declared at Audi’s web site. The car will also be capable of doing the 0 to 60 mph sprint or 96 kmph in 5.4 seconds. However, it seems there is a conflict in reports as the press release in Europe mentions the top speed to be 155 kmph which is 250 mph.
Fuel economy rating of the car is expected to be 18 mpg in city driving and 28 mpg on highway with 22 mpg being the combined specification.
