Everytime BMW unveils a new sports coupe, it’s an exciting development and if not its own right, then because you know it’s going to lead to a new M model. This is the way the new 6 Series will lead to a new M6 and this isn’t all. Here comes in the M-Sport package.
Bmw 6-Series officially received today the M Sport package, something that all of us waited since the launch of the new coupe and cabrio from the Bavarian manufacture.The new M Sport Package includes a brand-new front bumper with integrated daytime running LEDs, new side sills, a new rear apron, tailpipe trims in dark chrome design and a sports exhaust system for the BMW 650i Coupe and BMW 650i xDrive Coupe.
This new M-Sport pack has dual purpose: it gives buyers a bit more in the cosmetic department for a sportier look, but it may also give us a little heads-up on how the full-on M6 will look whenever it’s finally released.
The all-new 2012 Bmw 6-Series design is completed 19-inch light alloy wheels in M double-spoke design, but you can also choose the optimal 20-inch light alloy weels in M double-spoke design.
Only with the new M Sport Package, the 2012 Bmw 6-Series will be available in the M carbon black metallic and Imola red non-metallic paint finishes. On the inside, the car features sport seats in M specific Alcantara leather design with contrasting blue seams, a new M leather steering wheel with multifunction buttons and shift paddles as well as aluminium interior trim strips accentuated by a hexagon brushed pattern. The M Sport Package also includes M logo scuff plates as well as an M driver footrest.
This all-new M Sport Package can be mounted on all the model variants but until the all-new M6 will arrive, we do recommend the 650i Coupe (or the 650i xDrive Coupe) powered by the 4.4-liter V8 engine delivering 407 hp and 600 Nm of torque and capable to push the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.9 seconds and to a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) – with an average fuel consumption of 10.5 litres / 100 km.
If you want a more friendly to the environment, you should get the 640i Coupe powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder in-line petrol engine delivering 320 hp and 450 Nm of torque and able to push the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and to a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) – average fuel consumption of 7.6 liters / 100 km.
If you want to be even more friendly with the nature then the 640d Coupe is the car for you as it is powered by a six-cylinder in-lin diesel engine delivering 313 hp and 630 Nm of torque and pushing the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds and to a top speed of 155 mph or 250 km/h, while delivering an average fuel consumption of 5.4 liters of fuel per 100 km.
