A previous report said that 2012 Ferrari 458 Spider is coming soon. Well, now it confirms considering that the new roofless prancing horse will have its release at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2011 in September and here are the first official pictures of the upcoming supercar.
Still this isn’t the first time when this car shows its face in public. Back in July, the 2012 458 Spider has already been shown to a selected group of interested customers.
The pictures show a sports car which is quite like the renderings made by Wild-speed, with a similar look to the Ferrari 458. Of course, it is obvious the notable absence of a roof and, in its place, a unique dual-pod cockpit that appears to conceal some form of retractable hard-top configuration. Do expect some technological improvements to keep the 458 Spider ahead of competition.
At this time, exact dates for the US market are still uncertain but they are likely to follow the UK. Keep in mind that first EU deliveries will be at the end of the first quarter, while UK deliveries will be at the beginning the third quarter.
As for the pricing, it has yet to be discussed, but expect around $ 40,000 USD over the coupes base price.
