The three door hatchback personalized car category just got a little spectacular with Fiat Group’s announcement that it is launching the “Fuori Serie” customization program for the buyers of Abarth 695 hatchbacks. Fiat is set to offer, with the new customization program, buyers a extensive range of customization options.
Abarth has recently announced that a new version of the 695, named the Fuori Serie, will be officially presented to the public on the 27th of September during the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
The “Fuori Serie” customization program will allow customers to get the interior and the exterior of the car done with a wide range of high quality material, including carbon fiber. The display car has been fitted with carbon finishes, dedicated personalization plates and technology accessories including the Harman’s JBL audio system.
The exterior of the display car gets a two tone (blue with yellow racing stripes) paint job, “Olio Fiat” markers, carbon fiber license plate holders, A- and B-pillar decals, and mirror caps.
This special edition will be powered by a 4-cylinder 1.4-liter engine that produces 180 HP (132 kW) at 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 184 lb-ft (250 Nm) in sport mode. This power unit will be mated to an Abarth Competizione electrically-operated manual gearbox with steering wheel-mounted controls.It can perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in less than 7 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 140 mph (225 km/h).
It has a MacPherson independent front suspension and a torsion beam rear suspension, while the stopping power is provided by the Brembo brakes. The Abarth 695 Fuori Serie is fitted with 17-inch alloys with 205/40 R17 tires.
The officials say “With the ‘Fuori Serie’ programme, customers will have the chance to talk personally with the manufacturer to have their Abarths customised down to the smallest detail by a team of specialised Abarth designers, engineers and mechanics”.
