2012 Ford Fiesta Sport Special Edition – Available Just In Europe

The new 2012 Ford Fiesta Sport Special Edition hot hatch it won’t be coming to the United States, but is still something worth talking about.

The new Ford Fiesta Sport Special Edition, unveiled this month gets a new body kit with lowered side skirts, front and rear spoilers, a silver-colored grille surround, foglamp bezels and polished twin exhausts. Beside these it also gets pretty cool Panther Black alloy wheels with silver alloy wheels being optional. Panther Black exterior paint is also available, while the interior gets black leather sport seats with silver stitching.

This last edition will be available across Europe in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands and Switzerland. The new model fits right in with the rest of the Fiesta line up. The Fiesta Sport Special Edition has the powertrains to stay competitive featuring either Ford’s 1.6 liter Duratec gas powered inline four cylinder or the new, 1.6 liter Duratorq turbo diesel.  With the 132 horsepower 1.6 Duratec, 62 mph arrives in just 8.7 seconds and the Sport will continue on to a top speed of 122 mph.  If equipped with the Duratorq, the Special Edition will not achieve an average of 57 mpg, but will also produce 156 lb-ft of torque.

Of course, such a beauty on the outside, must remain the same at the inside too. Its interior receives the debut of a DAB radio option for the Fiesta.  Alongside leather wrapped shifter and hand brake, polished pedals and gloss black instrument bezels, the 2012 Ford Fiesta Sport Special Edition is a very handsome package on top of an already handsome car.

It seems that Ford Europe customers will be happy and proud to have one more model that the American people can’t have.
