The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance a place for the world’s rarest and their owners, who gather for a friendly competition, some auctions, and, of course lots of high-end hobnobbing. Beside this, it’s also a place for a couple of new car debuts every year.

It seems that this year Infiniti won’t be the only Japanese luxury brand with something to unveil at this event. According to Autoguide a Lexus insider says that Lexus GS luxury sedan will also debut at this car show.

Being asked for confirmation, Lexus Communications Manager Ming-Jou Chen was coy in her response. “We haven’t made any announcements… but it wouldn’t be a bad idea to keep an eye out during Pebble Beach.”

The 2012 GS will take many of its styling cues from the Lexus LF-Gh concept that bowed at the 2011 New York Auto Show in April. We have presented some time ago a series of sy shot and even in these pictures, we could see that the LED running lamps up front were left intact, along with the unique grille shape and arched lower air intake openings.

This new model, GS is heading to market to compete with recently-launched rivals from BMW, Mercedes and Audi.

Finally, we can conclude that Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is certainly one important car show and we are sure that this time we’ll see presented there plenty of new cars and the chances are big enough to finally see the debut of the new 2012 Lexus GS.
