We already saw many spy pictures of the 2012 Porsche 911 (Codename: 991), but now we can show you the first official images (according to TopSpeed) of this beauty.
The 2012 Porsche 911’s exterior design keeps the car’s iconic styling with a sleeker, smoother, and in many ways, simpler, interpretation. Also, we can easily see the sculpted air inlets topped with LED running lights and tightly integrated tail lights.
At the inside, the 911’s cabin uses a design with many features borrowed from the Panamera model, with a more pronounced, downward-sloping center console. Like the exterior, nothing radical has been done to the car’s innards.
The 2012 Porsche 911 will be powered by a 3.6L flat-six to a 3.4L direct-injected flat-six engine that delivers a total of 350 HP at 6400 rpm and max torque of 280 lb-ft between 4400 and 6000 rpm.
On the other hand, the 2012 Porsche Carrera S will be offered with a 3.8-liter flat-six with direct injection engine that delivers a total of 400 HP at 7000 rpm, leaving it with a 4.5 seconds 0-60mph sprint time and a top speed of 188mph.
Finally, fuel economy is also down for this model with a 14 percent reduction to 25.8 mpg. The 2012 Porsche 911 and Panamera will be offered with either a seven-speed manual gearbox or the seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic, both made by ZF and both featuring launch control.
