The 2012 Superb Greenline Estate is Skoda’s biggest, most luxurious and most expensive vehicle. It’s being powered by a 1.6-liter TDI that’s good for 104 horsepower. The gearbox is a five speed manual (not six, for weight saving).
This car’s most exciting feature is the fact that you can almost drive it without needing to refill anything. The Diesel engine goes almost 51mpg (in real life), while oil consumption, washer fluid, tire erosion, etc. are negligible. On top of everything, you could go tenths of thousands of miles without needing to get a technical check-up. Official figures for fuel consumption are 64.2mpg and 114g/km CO2, which is pretty good.
The interior gets heated and electric memory leather seats, color touchscreen sat-nav, Bluetooth connectivity for cell-phones or music streaming, voice control, leather-steering wheel, rear parking sensors and smart bi-xenon headlights that move around when you first turn them on.
The exterior gets a new bumper for better aerodynamic suspension. The ride height is 15mm shorter, and the wheels are now 16-inchers for more eco-friendliness.
The base cost price is $38,000, and judging by what this car can do, its price to quality proportion is a lot better than the BMW 335i, for example.
