Being one of the most anticipated cars of the coming year, the 2013 Dodge Viper supercar is on its way to glory.
Like a shy princess, this awesome car, showed its face for a while and then dissapeared. The good news is that spy photographers managed to catch it on camera and we can show you these breaking spy shots to feed your curiosity.
Still, keep in mind that there’s little to see from this early test mule because it’s has the new front end covered in cammo, but still wears the old body style . We can still see that what ever engine decision they will make, it will need loads of fresh air. A big airintake in the front bumper and what looks to be three air intakes in the hood tells us there will be plenty of power under that long hood. The reason why these prototypes were spotted in the extreme heat of California’s Death Valley is clear: the engineers are testing air flow and cooling for a brand new engine.
These latest spy pics of the 2013 Dodge Viper supercar shows a slightly smaller front air dam and headlights with a more tapered back design. On important aspect is that both the coupe and convertible chassis are being testing and this suggest that both models will be launched simultaneously. Beside this, as a bonus, Chrysler’s engineers have also rolled out a Chevrolet Corvette to test alongside the new Viper, so you get two thing in one.
Even if the official specs are still a mystery, we suppose that the 2013 Dodge Viper will be all new, including its engine, chassis and interior. The new model will come with the introduction of more driver aids, including advanced stability and traction.
The 2013 Dodge Viper will likely debut early next year, possibly at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show in January with an price tag which will probably exceed with much the $100,000 limit. Finally, until then, you can check out our photo gallery below and share with us your thoughts about this new model which is under developement.
