2013 Ford Focus ST – Pictures and Specifications

by Site Default

When it was first revealed at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, the Ford Focus ST looked more like a concept car than a production car, but it was officially announced to be released this year at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The 2013 Ford Focus ST will feature a 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost four-cylinder engine with direct injection, variable intake and exhaust timing. This motor produces 247 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. It will be connected to a six-speed manual transmission, which will be the only option available at launch. Ford might also add their 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission later on.

This car goes from 0 to 60 in 6.1 seconds and hits a top speed of 155 mph, which is pretty good for a vehicle in its class. The 2013 Focus ST will go 21 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.

The exterior design has changed a lot since the previous Focus. The only thing that isn’t different are the wheels (that look the same but are 1 inch smaller).

The cost price hasn’t been officially announced yet, but it will probably be somewhere between $25,000 and $30,000.

The 2013 Ford Focus ST is planned to go on sale late 2012.
