In the latest news, Hyundai Australia revealed the Pricing details for the Hyundai i30 Tourer, with that they have confirmed that it will be a $2000 premium for the spacious wagon variant over the popular five-door hatch. Unveiled at last month’s Sydney motor show, the i30 Tourer will land in Hyundai Australia showrooms early in 2013, taking the number of variants in the line-up from 10 to 15.
The new Hyundai i30 Tourer will be available with both a petrol and diesel engine in the entry-level Active trim, in conjunction to a six-speed manual and automatic transmission options, whereas the mid-range Elite trim will be offered exclusively in diesel auto form. The Tourer’s 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine gives out 99kW of power and 164Nm of torque, 11kW/14Nm less than the hatchback’s standard 1.8-litre petrol engine. The 94kW/260Nm 1.6-litre four-cylinder diesel engine is identical to the one found in the i30 hatch. On the exterior, the Tourer shares the five-door’s 2650mm wheelbase, but is 185mm longer overall, and Its 528-litre boot is 150 litres larger than that of the hatchback, which expands to 1642 litres with the rear seats folded flat, giving it a 326-litre advantage over the five-door.
