Kia announced the new Cee’d at an event that happened in Seul on the 15th of February. They also said that the car would be released at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March.
The new model is considerably larger than the previous one, being longer, taller and wider. The median line is low when comparing it with the side windows. The trunk is also more spacious than the one of the last model. The headlights get a new daytime LED lighting function.
The inside gets plenty of gizmos, and the quality of the materials to be used is a lot higher. The interior also gets better ergonomics, a high-resolution touch-screen display with a friendly multimedia interface, and comfortable yet supporting seats.
Kia has yet to reveal more information regarding the engine, transmission, pricing, and release date. They will probably do so in about two weeks when the Geneva Motor Show will start. Until then, this very short announcement about the new Cee’d, and some photographs which are included in this article are all we’ve got.
The Geneva event will take place between 8th and 18th of March.
