Kia has brought the 2013 Optima Hybrid which gains from a number of additions to its passenger space and engine.
The Optima Hybrid has a stronger Starter Generator, an upgraded lithium battery and a more powerful electric motor that produces 47 bhp (35 kW). These additions allow the model to have a collective output of 199 bhp (148 kW) and 235 lb-ft (318 Nm) of torque, compared to the one before 206 bhp (154 kW) and 195 lb-ft (264 Nm) of torque. The car also an improved fuel economy rating of up to 36 mpg city / 40 mpg highway / 38 mpg combined (US).
Apart from the powertrain upgrades, the Optima Hybrid has re-innovated alloy wheels, a reduced ride height, improved underbody aerodynamics, aluminum suspension components and a rear spoiler. There’s also extra trunk space, a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, GPS navigation and an 8-speaker Infinity audio system.
The Optima Hybrid is a good car with plenty of features attached to it. It is comparable to other sedans in luxury, style and appearance.
