The spies have recently managed to snap pictures of the Lamborghini Gallardo successor which is rumored to be called as the Cabrera.
The prototype was undergoing testing at night and came with a heavy camouflage and features a modern design that shares a number of cues with the Aventador. Because of the disguise, lot of details was hidden, but we could see the car will have a wedge-shaped front fascia with prominent air intakes. Moving at the rear, there’s a sporty greenhouse and the obligatory air intakes. The car also has a Sesto Elemento-inspired rear end with an aggressive diffuser and four-tailpipe sports exhaust system.
Talking about the power, the engine options remain unconfirmed but previous reports have hinted that the model will come fitted with a naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine that would generate around 600 hp (447 kW) and 400 lb-ft (541 Nm) of torque. It will send power to the ground via an all-wheel drive system but a rear-wheel drive variant is expected to be introduced sometime after the standard model is launched.
There are chances that a Cabrera concept may be introduced at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show but the production model isn’t scheduled to go on sale before 2015.
