2013 Lamborghini Gallardo goes boom at gas station

A 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 exploded at a gas station itself during refueling.

Jalopnik received an e-mail from the car owner’s child who stated in the mail that his dad was returning from Indianapolis to Houston after watching the Indy 500. About 130 miles from home he stopped at a gas station to refill his Gallardo and this incident happened.

Surprisingly the car was turned off during refueling but still at one point the engine literally exploded and the reasons are being investigated. Well the good news is that nobody was injured during this shocking incident and the gas station didn’t explode.

The insurance company is in the process of investigating the spontaneous-combusted Gallardo to find out what actually happened which lead to this incident.
