Lexus has announced the winners of their IS design challenge that they had kept for SEMA.
The competition saw more than 600 participants and it was not very easy for the judges to select the best among so many. But after reviewing all the entries, the judges finally declared Seattle native Rob Evans as the winner. His proposal shows a sporty sedan with an aggressive body kit that includes new bumpers, revised skirts, extended wheel arches and a dual exhaust system. This car will now be made by VIP Auto Salon and presented at SEMA.
Besides seeing his design come to life, Evans will also get $2,000 in cash as prize money, a one-year lease on a 2014 Lexus IS and an all expenses paid trip to Las Vegas. The runners up, Lucia Lee of Pasadena from California and Guanghao Huang of Southfield from Michigan, will receive $1,500, a six-month premium membership to deviantART and 4,000 deviantART points.
Well the other car lovers would have been disappointed on not being able to win or missing out completely, but surely there would be more such competitions that would come in future and the world knows that there is no end to creativity.
