Lexus is planning a facelift for the 2013 RX, one of their best selling vehicles (the RX-series is responsible for more than half of Lexus’ sales in the U.S.). The RX 450h will also come at the same time with the RX 450h F-Sport. This is the first time that Lexus gives a car the name F-Sport, and they most likely made this decision to increase the number of male RX buyers (since, let’s face it, up until now, this wasn’t exactly a “man’s man” car).
There have been leaked photos of the new Lexus’ exterior on the internet for some time now, but the automaker released some official pictures a few days ago. The design now looks more aggressive, and the curvy lines inspire a feel of dynamism and power. The high-placed rear lights give the car an off-road character (although it isn’t), and the wide-looking front fascia looks like the one of an expensive luxury car.
The technical specifications probably won’t change much, as the RX 450h is merely a facelift, and this car will still come with a 3.5-liter V6 that is good for 270 horsepower.
More information, including release date will be made available at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, which is now just a few days away. So you should check for an update on the Rx 450h later.
