For the first time a German car enthusiast has these photos of a 2013 Mercedes-Benz S-Class prototype.
Expected to be revealed later this year, the new flagship model in Mercedes’ stable will adopt the Aesthetic S design language. We can see a sculpted hood, LED-infused headlights, bigger grille, CL-inspired taillights and a dual exhaust setup.
The inside part of the new S-Class will boast of two large LCDs, one for replacing the analog instruments and the other will be a multifunction touchscreen display to control climate, satellite navigation, communication and entertainment systems.
As far as engines are concerned, it will get the company’s new “MoVe” modular V6 and V8 engines, along with a hybrid version expected to give 71.2 mpg (85.6 mpg UK or 3.3 liters / 100 km) and finish the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in less than six seconds.
The S63 AMG will probably use a twin-turbo V8 5.5-liter engine with more than 550 hp (410 kW) and 590 lb-ft (799 Nm) of torque.
Car performance, its features and other specifications are still vague, but is likely to be come out when the car gets launched.
Till then goodbye and do not forget to enjoy the pictures.
