You might remember that stylish F800 Concept that Mercedes unveiled last year. Its front lines the design of the new A-Klasse that’s currently being tested. Still it seems that the brand just couldn’t keep away from making a four-door coupe that’s smaller than the CLS. A week ago we showed you some spy shots with this latest CLC in Californian desert. Today the spy photographers managed to take some new photos of the baby CLS, the new CLC.
This little 4-door Coupe, codenamed C117, is based on a longer version from the platform made for the new A- and B-Class. This platform will make it possible to offer both front- and all-wheel-drive versions. Also the rumors say that a high power AMG version it might be good with all-wheel-drive to be sure to get the power down.
We don’t have technical details yet, but latest rumors are talking about some 300-340 wild horses. Other engine options will be a petrol engine in two versions, delivering some 121 and 154 horsepower.
If you are a diesel friend, you’ll be happy to hear that you’ll be able to choose between a new 1.8 liter engine delivering two stages of power, 107 or 134 horsepower. In all cases it will be connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission or a six-speed manual.
Price: unknown so far, but it will probably be slightly bigger than the curent model’s price, which is around $50,000
Specs: expect the CLC to hit show rooms in 2013
