The 911 Turbo Cabriolet made its public appearance a few days ago, but now, spy photographers managed to take some new shots for you. In addition to some eariler photos showing the 911 Turbo convertible with the roof open during hot weather testing, here are some new photos with the roof closed from the roads around the Nürburgring.
As a reminder, the 2013 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet will come a twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, wide rear haunches, additional cooling vents all around, and a new active rear spoiler.
Despite the fact that the official specs weren’t revealed, expect output from the engine to rise slightly above the 530 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque of the current Turbo S model. In addition, emissions and fuel consumption should be lower. In addition, the 2013 model might also come with an uprated ‘PDK-S’ dual clutch transmission, which is expected to debut in the next-generation 911 GT3 though we may see it earlier in the new 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo Cabriolet.
Still, according to recent reports a conventional manual that will feature seven forward gears, will still be offered.
Considering that the regular 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera Cabriolet are set for debut at this September’s 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, expect the 2013 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet to be launched late next year alongside its hard-top sibling. Most likely it will be unveiled at 2012 Geneva Motor Show and it will hit the market as a 2013 model.
The price of this model will probably be around $180,000.
