2013 Skoda Octavia Combi Excels in Geneva

Skoda strives to upgrade and update their product lineup as they have introduced the 2013 Octavia Combi at the Geneva Motor Show.

Appearing more polished than its predecessor, the wagon has an bespoke design with straight lines and soft curved surfaces. The entire design is bit old fashioned but the model carries a prominent grille, a tailgate-mounted spoiler and a sloping roofline.

The inside part resembles the sedan and comes properly equipped with automatic climate control, a four-speaker audio system and a flexible cargo division. There is also panoramic sunroof, a Canton audio system and various amount of infotainment systems with screens eight inches larger. More interestingly the model has an enlarged wheelbase which gives 73mm of extra rear seat legroom as well as a cargo capacity of up to 1740 liters (61.4 cubic feet).

There are variety of engines on offer and they range from 1.2 liter to 2.0 liter, 86 Hp to 150 HP and 160 Nm of Torque to 320 Nm of Torque.

The engine selection depends on the selection of a six- or seven-speed DSG transmission and an optional all-wheel drive system.
