Everyone knows the German Automaker, Volkswagen, the group had a team of brillant brains, and mastertered craftmanship, with utter Luxury, have always delivered wonderful cars to the world, you name it and you have it, was a kind of policy that this German group had in mind while coming out with their Iconic cars! Kudos to Volkswagen on coming out with their latest creation of the Volkswagen Golf VII, which actually dates back to 1974 when it began its production and the car started to roll out in 1975 in the U.S. and Canada, where it was known as Volkswagen Rabbit and in Mexico it was known as Volkswagen Caribe.
And today after 38 Years, at the on going Paris Motor Show they have already launched their Volkswagen Golf VII, while we are talking about its Price list which has been announced for U.K.
The Volkswagen Golf VII comes with a price tag of £16,330 (US$26,250 or €20,350 at the current rates), the sale of this car will begin on October 18, 2012, whereas the car deliveries are scheduled to be in January 2013.
The price tag of the new improved version of this entry-level Volkswagen Golf S, 3-Door one with 1.2 Litre TSI 84HP petrol unit starts at a price (£16,330) which in compared to the present model outgoing model (£16,425) remains low.
In Britian, The Volkswagen Golf will be launched in two diffrent Body Styles, a 3-door and 5-door variant, available in all the 3 trim levels namely, “S”, “SE”, and “GT”, along with that, also a choice of four Petrol Engines and two Diesel Engines. It should be noted that, later in the year 2013, this range of car will be extended to the production variants of the 217bhp (220PS) GTI, and the thrifty (88.3mpg UK / 73.5mpg US / 3.2lt per 100km) diesel-powered BlueMotion.
The line up for the Petrol variant starts with :
1. First of all, a four-cylinder 1.2-litre TSI unit producing 84hp (85PS)
2. Secondly the, 1.2-litre TSI model gushing out 104hp (105PS)
3. Thirdly, 1.4-litre TSI shooting up 120hp (122PS) motor.
4. Last but not the Least, a all new 1.4-litre TSI 138hp (140PS) engine with Active Cylinder Technology.
The Diesel line up consist of two variants:
1. A 1.6-litre TDI 104hp (105PS)
2. And a all new 2.0-litre TDI 148hp (150PS unit).
Other Features:
All the Golf Mark VII models, no matter what they are, both Petrol/Diesel comes standard with Stop/Start system and battery regeneration. Other standard equipments cover, seven airbags, five three-point seatbelts, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with ESP(Electronic Stabilization Program), XDS electronic differential lock and Isofix preparation for two rear child seats. Options of transmission depends on the engine selected, but it comes with 5 Speed and 6 Speed Manuals, and 6 Speed and 7 Speed Dual-Clutch DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) units.
1.S Model-
Now The “S” Models gets features like: A standard Media System with a 5.8-inch colour touchscreen, DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting) system, a CD player, MDI interface (for connecting iPod or MP3 player), audio streaming, Bluetooth connectivity, along with all these it also gets Climatic semi-automatic air conditioning.
2.SE Model-
As in a safety mode for the “SE” models, it comes with ADC (Automatic Distance Control) with Front Assist and City Emergency Braking, a Driver Alert System, PreCrash preventative occupant protection, Driver Profile Selection (with four modes and five on DSG-equipped cars), rain-sensitive wipers, an automatically dimming rear-view mirror and dusk sensor (automatic driving lights).
Another set of standard perqusites included in all SE Models are, upgraded upholstery, neatly brushed stainless steel decorative inserts, leather-trimmed handbrake grip, gear lever and multifunction steering wheel, black radiator grille with chrome trimmed-inserts and 16-inch alloy rims.
3.GT Model-
Now for the GT model, it caters 17-inch sports alloy wheels, air intakes with chrome surrounds, and fog lights, ‘Cherry Red’ taillights, and dark-tinted rear glass. Interiors are decked up with gloss black decorative inserts, Alcantara and fabric sports seats, LED reading lights, ambient lighting in the doors and centre console, electrically foldable door mirrors with puddle lights, front and rear parking sensors with visual display and the Discover Navigation media system with a 5.8-inch colour touchscreen preloaded with European mapping data.
