2013 Toyota GT86 CS-V3 Race Car (Specs, Price and Details)

Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG), the German motorsports company formerly responsible for Toyota’s Formula 1 program and now contracted to developing racing versions of its production cars,has rolled out a new racing Version, the 2013 Toyota GT86 CS-V3.

Labeled the TMG GT86 CS-V3, the new car is aimed at privateer racers, particularly those looking to compete in the V3 class of the Nürburgring-based VLN racing series, the highlight of which is the annual Nürburgring 24 Hours race. Currently, the car has only received Agreement from the Deutsche Motor Sport Bund in Germany, though more category opportunities are expected to open up in the near future.

Engine-
The 2013 Toyota GT86 CS-V3 outputs 197 HP at 7000 RPM, and 205 Nm (151 lb-ft) at 6,600 RPM from Subaru’s updated 2.0-liter Boxer four with a 12.5:1 compression ratio and Toyota’s D-4S injection technology added on to help better deliver power across the rev range.

The engine will be mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic with paddle shifters and a limited-slip differential will help put the power down to the rear wheels. So far we don’t have any official performance estimates, but the car is rumored to be able to hit 60 MPH in about 6.5 seconds.

Exterior-
Key changes to the car include a stiffened chassis and optimized weight distribution, as well as a racing exhaust system, uprated suspension and brakes, a full roll cage and a stripped-out interior.

PRICE-
Its pricetag is a very reasonable €38,500 (approximately $47,760), excluding taxes.

Anyway what we feel is that it is clear that Toyota Motorsports is trying to get entry-level racers into its cars, which is fantastic, and has a wonderful handling! and excellent perfomance, its for sure that the new 2013 Toyota GT86 CS-V3 Race Car. would definately bag many awards in its segment!
