Volvo has officially revealed their Concept Coupe ahead of its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Designed with the intention to mark the end of Volvo’s vanilla days, the Concept Coupe is a luxurious Gran Tourer that would preview the company’s new styling language.
In terms of exteriors, in the front, the Concept Coupe has a sporty front fascia with a floating grille and T-shaped LED daytime running lights that will become a hallmark of the brand. Moving further back, there is a contoured hood, a stylish greenhouse and an elegant rear end that recalls the iconic P1800. Other notable features include a panoramic glass roof and 21-inch alloys.
Talking about the interiors, the luxurious styling continues in the cabin as the model comes equipped with premium leather upholstery, grey wood trim, gloss black accents, a head-up display and a large touchscreen infotainment system.
Under the hood, power is provided by a plug-in hybrid powertrain that consists of a 2.0-liter Drive-E petrol engine and an electric motor that powers the rear axle. It enables the model to generate a combined maximum output of around 400 hp (298 kW) and over 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque.
