2014 Audi R8 goes for sale, V10 Plus priced at 170,545 USD

Audi has announced the sale of one of its most anticipated model, Audi R8 lineup, in the US.

The R8 V8 Coupe comes with a base price of $114,000 and goes upto $179,645 for the R8 V10 Plus fitted with S tronic. The top most variant comes with the latest seven-speed transmission kit and as per the company S tronic helps to change the gears more smoothly and efficiently. The company has also fitted full LED headlights which have been certified as energy-efficient by the European Commission.

The R8 V10 Plus comes with an awesome 550 bhp and 398 lb-ft of torque which enables the S tronic-equipped model to reach 100 kmph in just 3.3 seconds. The car has a top speed of 315 kmph. The Plus variant is lighter by 130 lbs as compared to standard R8 V10 version which is mainly due to features which include a compact fuel tank, ceramic brakes, less sound insulation in the engine bay, manual Alcantara seats and carbon fiber blades, spoiler, rear diffuser and front splitter.
