After some wait, Chevrolet has released final technical specifications for the new Corvette Stingray.
The company had introduced the C7 Coupe around six months ago which was followed by launch of Convertible variant in March. However till now, the technical details of the car were not available but GM has finally disclosed the important information.
Both the versions come fitted with a 6.2-liter V8 LT1 engine which generates 455 HP (335 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 460 lb-ft (623 Nm) of torque at 4,600 rpm in the coupe. For the convertible version, the estimated figures stand at 450 HP (331 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 450 lb-ft (609 Nm) of torque at 4,600 rpm. The engines are mated to wheels via an all-new seven-speed manual gearbox with Active Rev Match.
Both vehicles benefit from a 50:50 weight distribution and come with an Active Handling system featuring electronic stability control. Other highlights include tire pressure monitoring system with run-flat tires, four airbags and four-channel ABS.
Also both vehicles share the exact same dimensions: 177 inches long, 73.9 inches wide and a wheelbase of 106.7 inches. Headroom stands at 38 inches, legroom at 34 inches, shoulder room at 55 inches and hip room at 54 inches.
