Chevrolet has recently made an announcement that the 2014 Cruze Diesel will have the best highway fuel economy of any non-hybrid passenger car in America.

By returning an EPA-estimated 46 mpg on highway, Chevy stated that the owners would be able to travel up to 700 miles (1,126 km) on a single tank of fuel. The car’s chief engineer, Gary Altman, stated that the Cruze Diesel is the best diesel passenger car available currently and the company is redefining the meaning of great fuel economy with this car.

The Cruze Diesel comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that can generate a 148 hp (110 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque – 280 lb-ft (380 Nm) with overboost. It also enables the sedan to accelerate from 0-60 mph (100 kmph) in approximately 8.6 seconds.

The 2014 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel will go on sale later this year and the pricing for the US markets has been tagged at $ 25,695 which includes an $ 810 destination charge. We would have to say that is this is true, it could be a value for money and everyone would like to take an advantage of such fuel economic car.
