Fiat the Italian based Automaker recently unveiled the 2014 Fiat 500L ahead of the model’s official debut scheduled for the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. And with the release, they are planning to aim at the United States, into the spotlights for the first time, by releasing the very first images and details with the model.
“The all-new Fiat 500L the reach of the FIAT brand in North America and will keep our customers within the brand as their lifestyle needs expand. Those who love the style and performance that only the Italians can create, can now enjoy space for five, functionality, practicality and value. The Fiat 500L is the whole package, and it now brings its unique flavor to the American market”, said the head of Fiat Brand North America – Chrysler Group LLC, Tim Kuniskis.
The reports state that the crossover has 42% more interior room than the regular version of the 500 model. Under the hood lies the turbocharged 1.4 liter MultiAir turbo four-cylinder unit from the 500 Abarth and from the Dodge Dart, capable enough to produce a total output of 160 HP and 184 lb-ft of torque, and the whole unit is mated to a six-speed manual or to a dual-clutch transmission. The new entrant is being offered with features like the 17-inch alloy wheels, black exterior accents, the Chrysler Uconnect 5.0 infotainment system, the larger touch screen audio and much more.
Details about the pricing aren’t available, but the car is expected to end up in the company’s dealership in mid-2013, and additional details will be posted soon, so stay tuned for more information.
