2014 Holden Colorado & Colorado 7 introduced with a new engine and advanced equipment

Holden has recently introduced the 2014 Colorado and Colorado 7.

First up, the models now get a new 2.8-liter Duramax 2 diesel engine that would generate an output of 200 HP (147 kW) and up to 500 Nm (368 lb-ft) of torque. It can be further mated to a new six-speed manual or an upgraded automatic transmission that has been recalibrated to prevent unnecessary shifting between gears when travelling uphill which effectively means to ease the driving experience.

The other important change in the models is that they now come with several new safety systems including Trailer Sway Control, Hill Start Assist and a Descent Control system. Other highlights of the models include standard front side impact airbags (on LX, LT and LTZ models) and a rearview camera with Rear Park Assist on the Colorado LTZ and all Colorado 7 models.

Lastly, the Holden MyLink infotainment system will now be a part of the standard equipment on all Colorado 7s and the Colorado LX, LT and LTZ. The system has a seven-inch color touchscreen display, Bluetooth connectivity and a variety of apps such as Pandora, Stitcher, TuneIn and BringGo.
