2014 Hyundai Avante / Elantra officially revealed

Hyundai has officially revealed the facelifted 2014 Avante (Elantra) in South Korea, following a teaser released some time ago.

Hyundai has increased the overall length of the refreshed Avante to 4550mm with extension of the front bumper by 5mm and the rear one by 15mm. The facelifted Avante comes with various revisions that include front bumper, radiator grille, fog lamps, rear bumper, along with two-tone 17-inch alloys. It also comes fitted with projection headlamps, LED daytime running lights and rear combination lamps.

The photos of the interior were not provided but the company has informed certain changes to the cabin that include moving the center air vent position upward on the dashboard, the front center armrest being raised, updated features such as rear seat air vents, ventilation seats, 3.5-inch OLED screen, flex steer and Smart Parking Assist System (SPAS).

The power can be derived from the 1.6-liter diesel engine with stop/go system generating 126 hp (94 kW) and 279 Nm (206 lb-ft) of torque. It is well connected to the manual gearbox and has a fuel consumption of 5.4 liters / 100 km (52.3 mpg UK or 43.5 mpg US), while with the automatic it will consume 6.2 liters / 100 km (45.5 mpg UK or 37.9 mpg US).
