Hyundai has officially unveiled the all-new i10 which will get its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show to be held next month in Germany.
The new generation of the i10 city car comes with a more evolved and mature design which matches with the increased size. If we compare to its predecessor in terms of dimensions, the new model is 80mm longer, 65mm wider and also lower by 50mm, while the trunk capacity has been increased by 10 percent to 252 liters.
The company even claims that the 2014 i10 has the best cargo space and legroom in its class, with front and rear passengers benefiting from a combined legroom of 1890mm thanks to a 5mm longer wheelbase.
In terms of power, the details have not been revealed by the company yet about the engine options but there are chances that it will be fitted with 3-cylinder, 1.0-liter and 4-cylinder, 1.25-liter gasoline power units. In terms of interiors, we can expect features such as climate control, heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, along with safety features like front curtain airbags and stability control.
The model is expected to enter production phase next month at Hyundai’s factory located in Ízmit in Turkey.
