The North American International Auto Show has already started and this is where Kia has introduced the 2014 Cadenza.

Designed to compete with the Buick LaCrosse and Toyota Avalon, the Cadenza has a “Tiger Nose” front fascia with plenty of chrome trim. On the back side there’s a dual exhaust system and LED taillights.

Since the model is categorized in the premium segment, it is evenly equipped with leather seats, dual-zone automatic climate control and a 12- speaker Infinity audio system. There is also an 8-inch touchscreen display with GPS navigation and UVO eServices.

Those who prefer a Premium package can also get Nappa leather seats, a panoramic sunroof and a digital instrument cluster. Other sundries include HID headlights, heated seats and a power tilt / telescoping steering column.

The Cadenza also comes with a technology package which includes a “water repellant hydrophobic” windshield, a Blind Spot Detection system and 19-inch alloy wheels. There’s also an electric parking brake, Advanced Smart Cruise Control and a Lane Departure Warning System.

Power will be provided by a 3.3-liter GDI V6 engine that gives 293 bhp (218 kW) and 255 lb-ft (345 Nm) of torque. It sends power to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. The cadenza is likely to put on sale in the US in mid 2013 and pricing will be announced then.

Till then stay tuned and enjoy the photo gallery.
