Magnum has now officially revealed its MK5 track toy.

Aimed to be alternative to vehicles such as BAC Mono, KTM X-Bow, Ariel Atom and the VUHL 05, the two-seater MK5 is a lightweight rear-wheel drive model and represents the work of Magnum Cars. Power would be provided by a rear mid-mounted 4-cylinder engine rated at 250 hp (186 kW) connected to a six-speed sequential gearbox and a limited-slip differential.

The engine allows the model to accelerate to 62 mph (100 kmph) in just 3.2 seconds and hit a top speed of 149 mph (240 kmph). The vehicle comes with a dry weight of just 545 kg (1,200 lbs) which means it can provide a power-to-weight ratio of 460 hp / ton.

Talking about dimensions, the Magnum MK5 measures 3914mm (154.1 inches) long, 1884mm (74.2 inches) wide and 1069mm (42,1 inches) tall and comes fitted with with a six-point, race-spec harness together with two seats made from carbon fiber composites.

It rides on 18-inch ultra-light alloy wheels well wrapped in 225/40 R18 front and 265/35 R18 high-performance, road-legal competition tires. Braking is provided by ventilated discs with CNC-machined aluminum hubs, while the suspension setup consists of front and rear adjustable pushrod with two-way dampers and adjustable anti-roll bars.
