2014 Mazda3 Sedan officially revealed

After a string of leaked images of Mazda3 Sedan, Mazda has now fully revealed the all-new 2014 Mazda3 Sedan model.

The sedan is now 4580mm which is an increase of 120mm with comparison to the hatchback version, while the wheelbase continues to be the same at 2700mm. The model’s boot opening width has increased by 100mm to 1102mm and cargo capacity also now stands at 419 liters which is an increase of 69 liters over the hatchback.

In the UK the sedan will be offered with a SKYACTIV-G 1.5-liter gasoline engine generating 100 HP (73 kW) connected to a six-speed manual transmission. This will enable the sedan to return 56.4 mpg UK (47 mpg US or 5 liters / 100 km) in the combined cycle with CO2 emissions of 118 g/km.

Next is the SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 120 HP (88 kW) and 165 HP (121 kW). The lesser variant returns 55.3 mpg UK (46 mpg US or 5.1 liters / 100 km) and has 119 g/km of CO2 emissions with the manual gearbox and 50.4 mpg UK (42 mpg US or 5.6 liters / 100 km) with 129 g/km with automatic transmission. The more powerful variant returns 48.7 mpg UK (40.5 mpg US or 5.8 liters / 100 km) with CO2 emissions of 135 g/km.

Lastly, there is SKYACTIV-D diesel that generates 150 HP (110 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) from 1,800 rpm. Fitted with the manual gearbox, the model will return 72.4 mpg UK (60.2 mpg US or 3.9 liters / 100 km) and 104 g/km.
