Latest secret pictures shows Mercedes-Benz is untiringly continuing to test its A-Class-based compact crossover which will compete with models like the BMW X1.
Few days ago there were some rumours that Daimler CEO had confirmed plans of bringing a production ready concept to the Shanghai Auto Show . He also opined that the production-ready model will be showcased in September at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The Mercedes-Benz GLA will borrow a lot of stuff from the A-Class with an increased ride height, roof rails, sweptback headlights, prominent front grille and a tailgate-mounted spoiler.
Engines will remain the same compared to the model it’s modelled on which means it will be offered with several 4-cylinder units with outputs of up to 211 HP (155 kW). An AMG model might be considered too and could be bolstered by a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 354 HP (260 kW).
Let us wait till the model is brought to one of the auto shows.
