Mercedes-Benz has revealed the 2014 S65 AMG on the net recently.
As expected the design of the new S65 AMG doesn’t hold any surprises as we has already got a chance to see during an ad shoot that was held in August. Motivation is provided by a twin-turbo V12 6.0-liter engine generating an output of reportedly 630 HP (463 kW) between 4,800 and 5,400 rpm with a maximum torque of 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) available between 2,300 and 4,300 rpm.
The 2014 S65 AMG comes equipped with a 7G-TRONIC seven-speed automatic transmission which enables the sedan to achieve the 0-62 mph (0-100 kmph) sprint in 4.3 seconds before topping out at an electronically-capped speed of 155 mph (250 kmph). According to Mercedes-Benz this car is world’s most fuel-efficient V12 high-performance saloon in terms of power and torque.
It rides on 20-inch multi-spoke lightweight alloy wheels well wrapped in 255/40 R20 tires at the front and 285/35 R20 at the rear axle. There is also an option to install a high-performance ceramic composite braking system which is lighter by around 20 percent as compared to the standard braking kit and comes with 420mm discs and specially painted brake calipers.
