The 2014 Mercedes S-Class has been spied virtually unconcealed just ahead of its official launch on May 15, 2013. We have already seen the model in the uncamouflaged form during a photo shoot but the latest pictures provide yet another glimpse at the redesigned flagship which is expected to go on sale in the September this year.
The 2014 Mercedes S-Class sports an evolutionary design with a conservative appearance which clearly seems to have taken inspiration from its predecessor. The model comes with some notable changes such as a rounded grille, LED-infused headlights, a sportier front bumper, a distinctive rear end with LED taillights.
There has been a big gap left by the last model Maybach and now S-Class will have to fill the same. The car is expected to adopt a stylish interior with higher quality materials. The highlights of the car include a panoramic sunroof, illuminated door sill plates, soft-closing doors and LED ambient lighting. Also there are chances that it may come fitted with a Burmester audio system, two 12.3-inch displays and between four different wood trims: Burl Walnut, Myrtle Sunburst, Black Popular and “Metalized Ash.”
The buyers will have an option to order options such as heated / ventilated seats, a rear seat entertainment system and an Air Balance Package that filters and ionizes the air and can even dole out perfume. The buyers can also order rear special “Chauffer Seats” that are ten-way adjustable and have a power-deployable footrest.
In terms of powerhouse, the engine options that are expected are the usual suspects and it can be a twin-turbo 4.6-liter V8, a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 and a V12 one.
