2014 Nissan Qashqai officially unveiled, goes on sale in January

Nissan has officially revealed the 2014 Qashqai and is all set to go in sale in January 2014.

The redesigned crossover comes equipped with LED-infused headlights, a clamshell-style hood, a distinctive greenhouse, a sloping roofline, a tailgate-mounted spoiler and an Active Grille Shutter – on diesel models with manual transmissions – that automatically closes as the speed exceeds 30 kmph (18 mph).

Inside the cabin, the upscale styling continues with higher quality materials and an improved design and includes features such as gloss black trim, metallic accents and ‘zero-gravity’ seats that promise to offer more comfort and support. There’s also a larger boot and a new NissanConnect infotainment system that has a seven-inch touchscreen display and internet connectivity.

Under the hood, four different engine options would be available:
• 1.2-liter DIG-T with output of 115 HP (85 kW) and 190 Nm (140 lb-ft) of torque
• 1.6-liter DIG-T rated at 150 HP (110 kW) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque
• 1.5-liter dCi outputting 110 HP (81 kW)
• 1.6-liter dCi rated at with 130 HP (96 kW)

The engines are further connected to manual transmissions and a front-wheel drive system with option to go for an Xtronic continuously variable transmission and ALL-MODE 4×4-i system.
