2014 Nissan Qashqai teased ahead of next week reveal

by SpeedLux

Nissan has recently released a teaser image of the second-gen Qashqai which will be revealed on 7th November.

The Japanese marque said that their new model has been reinvented from the ground up and has promised to redefine the crossover sector and set new standards. From what we know as of yet, there would not be a “+2” version since they’ve already endorsed this task to the 2014 X-Trail which will be offered with an optional seven-seat arrangement.

Talking about power options, the engine lineup will include a brand new turbocharged 1.2-liter gasoline DiG-T engine with an output of 113 hp (84 kW) and a 1.5-liter dCi engine generating an output of 108 hp (80 kW). There are chances that we will also get to see a larger 1.6-liter dCi mill with output rated at 128 hp (95 kW).

The second generation of the Nissan Qashqai will ride on the Common Module Family architecture that has been jointly developed with Renault and there are chances that it may receive hybrid and/or electric derivatives during its lifespan.

Well we expect full details to be revealed when the car is unveiled next week in November.
