One of the latest reports indicates that Range Rover is mulling a more powerful version of the Evoque.

The Range Rover Sport RS has already been spied undergoing testing, but as per the report, before that Land Rover will launch an Evoque RS. The car is expected to come out before the end of the year and will be followed by the Range Rover Sport RS in the coming year.

Under the hood, the model would be allegedly powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine capable of generating somewhat 300 hp (224 kW). Rather than creating a beefed up body kit, Land Rover will play it safe and make only subtle styling revisions to separate the Evoque RS from the standard model.

Talking about the Range Rover Sport RS, the model will be equipped with a supercharged V8 5.0-liter engine capable of developing 543 hp (405 kW) and 501 lb-ft (680 Nm) of torque. The extra oomph should enable the high-performance SUV to accelerate to 60 mph (96 kmph) in just about 4.8 seconds taking into account the Supercharged model with its output of 503 hp (375 kW) engine does it in 5 seconds.
