Volvo and Polestar have joined hands again to launch a high performance variant of the V60, as could be seen in this initial set of spy images.
The Swedish marque did tell us about the possibility of expanding the list of Polestar-tuned models but they had mentioned that the V40 and XC60 would be undergoing the treatment but these spy images depict the V60. It’s easy to spot the Polestar cues on this prototype as it’s wearing the familiar baby blue paint and has a more aggressive body kit matched with larger alloy wheels and Brembo brake calipers.
Nothing confirmed at the moment about the engine that would be powering the model but we can expect it to be the inline-six T6 2953cc from the S60 Polestar. In the hot sedan it generates an output of 350 HP (257 kW) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque sent to a Haldex all-wheel drive system through a six-speed automatic gearbox.
The good thing about the spy images is that the model comes with a very less camo and hence we were able to gather quite a few details. However we expect more details to be officially revealed soon.
