The Los Angeles Auto Show is just days away and yet, new details of an upcoming vehicle from the American automaker, Ford, have emerged on the World Wide Web. This time, it is the 2015 Ford Everest that becomes the victim of this information leakage. According to the AutoIndustriya, this third generation Everest will be making its debut on November 14, 2014. The AutoIndustriya claims to have cited a source inside the global development team of Ford.
Besides the possible debut schedule, it is also known that the upcoming Everest model will borrow most, if not all, of its styling cues from the Everest concept designed by the company’s Aussie division. In addition to that, the car will be able to seat seven passengers altogether and it is going to be a capable off-road model. This kind of confirms the prototype versions spotted before. The inside source also suggests that the upcoming Ford Everest is most likely to feature technologies similar to the ones used on the Ford Ranger pickup model. Yet, at the rear of the car, there will be an addition of Watts-link coil-spring suspension, meant to provide passengers with a higher level of comfort.
Those who are interested in the next generation Ford Everest will also be able to choose between two versions of diesel engine with turbochargers. The first option is a 2.2L engine and the second option is a 3.2L engine. This engine will come from the Ford Ranger model but they will be treated with some upgrades before they are implanted onto the American automaker’s next Everest model. Customers also get to choose between a 2WD and a 4WD drivetrains. For the interior, it is going to look similar to that of the Ford F-150 and it will have the SYNC2 infotainment system available on board, along with an 8-inch touchscreen display.
